Camille Grand

Camille GrandManaging Director of the Foundation for Strategic Research (FRS) between 2008 and 2016, Camille Grand has been recently named Assistant Secretary General of NATO in Brussels, in charge of defense investments. Prior to 2008, he was deputy director for disarmament and multilateral affairs in the directorate for strategic, security and disarmament affairs of the French ministry of foreign affairs (2006-08). He was previously the diplomatic adviser to the French minister of defense, Mrs. Alliot-Marie (2002-2006). He served as an expert of nuclear policy and non-proliferation in the strategic affairs department of the French Ministry of Defense (1999-02), and was an associate fellow in the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) (2000-02). He has taught graduate courses in international and security affairs at Sciences Po Paris since 1998 and at the National School of Administration (ENA) since 2006. His publications include several books and numerous papers on current strategic affairs, primarily focused on nuclear policy, non-proliferation, and disarmament. He holds graduate degrees in international relations, defense studies, and contemporary history, and is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Science.
